We are a licensing body organized as a fellowship of chaplains and pastors. Though some churches are under our banner, our primary focus is expanding the chaplain's role and responding to people in crisis. The chaplain provides a ministry of presence in times of grief and tragic loss. The chaplain steps outside the church's walls to minister to people during their darkest moments. The chaplain is a ministry that reaches into a person's heart and shares their life journey bringing them joy and hope and letting them know they matter.

Two Levels of Licensing. Find your level
Becoming a credentialed chaplain with Chaplain International is a decision that will benefit not only those who you serve but also yourself. CI credentials are provided to those with documented ministerial experience. Those who lack experience will be considered for the position of chaplain assistant for the first two years. Having the credential provides credibility and a confirmation of your qualifications, allowing you to be held in higher regard when you serve individuals who require spiritual counsel.

Chaplains International is not a member organization but rather a fellowship. When you become a licensed chaplain with our fellowship, you can start a ministry in the local jails, hospitals, EMS, and law enforcement using our banner. If you choose be autonomous and serve under your own ministry, you are free to do so using CI as your credentialing body. Additionally, we provide an opportunity to help those in need while allowing you to receive additional training, certification, and the chance to grow professionally.
